Favorite Fall Tea Drinks | Seasonal Coziness!
There is nothing like a cup of tea in the Fall time. My go-to's are these seasonal teas from Trader Joe's- Spiced Chai and Harvest Blend Herbal Tea (Caffeine Free). Both priced affordably at $1.99 each for 20 tea bags a box at my local Trader Joe's.
Spiced Chai is terrific hot and iced. It is a delicious fall drink with all the different fragrant spices- cinnamon and nutmeg are especially prominent. After my first try of Chai tea several years ago, I have been a big fan ever since. Last year, I purchased the Tazo Chai tea bags, however, I think TJ's Spiced Chai has a better taste for my preference.
In the past, I had trouble determining the best ratio for Chai tea to soymilk, to create a yummy Chai Tea Latte. However, after some research on Pinterest, I learned that a 1/4 Chai tea (steep for 5 minutes) then 3/4 soymilk (or dairy of your choice) combination is best! I like to make my Chai tea latte iced! I add my soymilk and chai tea mixture to a cup with ice and sip with a straw makes for a delightful morning drink or a chilled afternoon pick-me-up.
I recently got my hands on the Harvest Blend Herbal Tea. The taste reminds me of hot apple cider. It is complete with sumptuous fall flavors of apple and cinnamon and health benefits of ginger, yet is not too overbearing. I love to steep this tea in hot water on a cold day because it not only warms me up, it fills the room with a lovely autumn scent that is better than any candle or air freshener to me! Since it is caffeine free, I am able to enjoy this tea at anytime of the day, it has become my daily mid-day treat I look forward to!
Happy Fall Tea Time!
